Family Dollar in St. James, MO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise Store Associates to maintain a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and promotional displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling accuracy, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept and mopped.
