Job summary

Family Dollar in Anniston, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize stock, and supervise store associates to maintain high standards.

The role requires strong communication, initiative, and a commitment to friendly, safe shopping. Prior store-management experience is preferred, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks daily.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and stock merchandise from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Supervise and train Store Associates.
