Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, train and supervise associates, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, well-stocked store, handling merchandising, and providing a safe, positive environment for customers and staff. This is a full-time on-site position based in Sterling Heights, MI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, stock, and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and compliance.
• Maintain store displays and preserve promotional integrity.
