Job summary

Dollar Tree in Laurens, SC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and support loss prevention while ensuring a clean, welcoming environment.

Primary duties include opening/closing procedures, coaching associates, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This role is on-site at our Laurens location, offering growth opportunities within a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks related to store operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect assets including store cash and ensure policy adherence.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
