Job summary

Dollar Tree in Cross, South Carolina, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support daily functions, assist in opening and closing procedures, and help maintain clean, well-stocked aisles and displays.

In this role you will supervise Store Associates, ensure safety and compliance, protect assets, and relay corporate directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, able to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
