Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Graniteville, SC. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise flow, and staff supervision while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and ensure neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
