Dollar Tree in Columbia, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

You will assist with merchandise flow, scheduling, payroll, loss prevention, and maintaining store standards while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. The role requires hands-on leadership and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced retail setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist with merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and well-stocked; manage bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
