Job summary

Family Dollar in Claxton, Georgia, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in a part-time role. You will assist with merchan-dising, opening/closing duties, and daily tasks to uphold standards and safety.

You will train and supervise store associates, protect assets, and maintain a clean, organized sales floor while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure associates follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
