Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC in Jonesboro is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help manage daily activities and ensure a friendly shopping experience.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a small team, and the stamina to handle physical tasks such as stocking and merchandising. The position is part-time at our Jonesboro location with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store activities documentation.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, damage processing, payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets and ensure store policies are followed.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
