Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and ensure excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and loss-prevention standards, scheduling, and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience in an Assistant Manager or retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer service standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training of store staff.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback.
