Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise from delivery to floor, and executing opening and closing procedures. This role helps with payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, maintaining clean and organized areas, training Store Associates, and ensuring a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling), and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure store is clean and presentable including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
