Job summary

Family Dollar in Sarasota, FL seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, deliver great customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, opening/closing, training, and ensuring store standards and safety. This is a part-time role emphasizing teamwork and reliability.

The position supports store operations, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies while providing a positive, safe environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing associates.
