Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, merchandise flow, and staff training in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication and problem solving, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to a safe, welcoming store atmosphere. This is a part-time position located at 511 E Brazos Ave West, West Columbia, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
