Job summary

Dollar Tree in Dumas, TX is seeking part-time team members to support daily store operations. You will assist with merchandising, customer service, and loss prevention while contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, processing deliveries, and following corporate directives. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and physical stamina to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and store front appearance.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas neat, stocked, and secure assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
