Job summary

Dollar Tree in Polson, MT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, supervise associates, and help control inventory and store assets to maintain a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas of the store.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secured assets.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
