Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Kalispell, MT to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, executing corporate directives, loss prevention, payroll, scheduling, and training Store Associates to maintain a safe, clean, and friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Experience in retail or grocery store management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate related store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and supervise/train store associates; foster a positive environment.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentability of the store, restrooms, floors, and overall areas.
