Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Oklahoma. You will help with day-to-day activities and supervise Store Associates to ensure smooth, friendly service.

This role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to a safe, well-organized store. You will implement corporate directives and maintain appealing fixtures and stock levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
