Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and help drive promotional displays while maintaining safety and store standards.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience in retail management preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and repetitive movements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and ensure cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for customers and staff.
