Job summary

Dollar Tree in Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop the store team.

You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandising, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining clean, safe, and inviting sales floors.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior retail management experience; strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandising and transfer stock as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional areas.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect assets and ensure safety and policy compliance.
