Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. Duties include assisting with daily store activities, aiding customers, and organizing merchandise from delivery to floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits; support loss prevention efforts.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
