Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service excellence, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, maintain stockrooms, and ensure the sales floor and seasonal areas meet company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, adherence to directives, loss prevention, and staff training under the Store Manager. A high-energy team environment and strong customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
