The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
2. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
3. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
4. Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring ongoing training.
5. Participate in the hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
6. Ensure timely processing of online orders, transfers, and customer contacts regarding shipments.
7. Handle retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
8. Ensure all merchandise and warranties are invoiced before leaving the store.
9. Communicate Zipline messages and complete merchandising tasks as assigned.
10. Ensure team compliance with policies, schedules, clock-ins/outs.
11. Perform store opening/closing duties, including securing money, deposits, and building security.
12. Maintain the store building, parking lot, signage, hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
