Famous Footwear is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to lead the store in the Manager’s absence and drive a family-friendly, high-energy shopping experience. You will motivate a team, coach selling behaviors, and ensure flawless operations while staying current on trends and product presentation.

You’ll recruit and train talent, manage staffingLevels, and partner with the Store Manager to hit sales targets and growth goals.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the Customer Connection: coaching selling behaviors to improve customer relationships and flawless delivery.
• Champion Talent Discovery: network with external talent and interview/hire individuals passionate about customer experiences and selling.
• Ace Retail Operations & Staffing Levels: manage pricing, shipping processing, and inventory to keep store operations smooth.
• Leverage Insights to Deliver Results: drive sales and apply observations to improve location performance.
• Be a Culture Builder: foster diversity and inclusivity, mentor team, and elevate engagement and retention.
• Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand: step in for the Store Manager when absent and develop leadership skills.
