Job summary

Five Below is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Pendleton, OR location. You will support the General Manager, lead the freight team, and supervise store staff to ensure exceptional customer engagement and smooth daily operations.

The role requires 2+ years of management experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexibility for varied shifts and travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform General Manager duties in their absence.
• Partner with GM on store issues, recognition, and concerns.
• Model strong customer engagement and train staff.
• Lead freight team and all store associates on duty.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and payroll processes.
• Manage inventory movement and zone sheets with GM.
• Recruit, train, coach and supervise all associates.
• Assist with scheduling to meet staffing levels.
• Ensure cash handling, deposits, and POS functionality.
• Maintain merchandising standards and store cleanliness.
