Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, serve customers, and develop the team in a fast-paced retail environment. The role includes supervising store associates, organizing stock, protecting assets, handling opening and closing procedures, merchandising, scheduling, payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions.
• Organize merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
