Job summary

DC Global Talent Inc. is seeking an Assistant Spa Manager for a luxury hotel in Boston, MA. You will support the Spa Manager and Director of Spa and Wellness in day-to-day operations and staff leadership.

You will oversee front desk, treatment rooms, wellness facilities, and retail while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining luxury standards. A passion for wellness and strong English communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily spa operations across all areas: front desk, treatment rooms, wellness facilities, locker rooms, relaxation lounge, and retail.
• Monitor equipment functionality and cleanliness; coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to address issues.
• Manage administrative duties: requisitions, purchase orders, inventory, and cost control of spa products.
• Interview, train, and supervise spa staff; provide feedback and professional development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coach team members to improve performance.
• Uphold luxury service standards and respond promptly to guest feedback.
• Coordinate group bookings and spa tours for VIPs and meeting planners.
• Manage retail operations including orders, inventory, and product selection aligned with guest preferences.
• Analyze retail trends and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and tracking labour and expenses for financial efficiency.
• Support planning and execution of spa promotions, events, and local partnerships.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a hazard-free environment for guests and staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Spa Manager for a luxury hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT YOU BRING

• 2 to 4 years of supervisory or management experience in a spa, wellness club, or luxury hotel environment
• A genuine passion for the health and wellness industry with strong knowledge of current trends, products, and technology
• Commitment to luxury guest experiences and a drive to continuously elevate the guest journey
• Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a spa team
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Creative, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
• Proficient in hotel and spa software systems
• Superior communication skills in English; additional languages are a strong asset
• Degree in hospitality management, wellness, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
