ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Spa Director for a Forbes luxury hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a senior visionary leadership role responsible for overseeing all spa and wellness operations, driving revenue, and delivering exceptional, personalized guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic, passionate wellness leader with deep industry knowledge, a hands‑on approach, and the creative vision to position the spa as a leader in the wellness space.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Oversee all aspects of spa operations, including guest services, treatment rooms, facilities, and amenities, ensuring seamless and efficientday-to‑day delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality across all spa areas, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering as needed
• Lead, develop, and inspire the spa team, including therapists, aestheticians, receptionists, and support staff
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and implement development strategies to foster a high‑performing, motivated workforce
• Develop and implement strategies to drive spa revenue and profitability, including pricing, package promotions, retail sales, and membership programmes
• Prepare and manage the annual operating and capital budgets; produce financial performance reports with supporting data
• Ensure exceptional, personalised guest experiences that exceed expectations across all spa, wellness, and amenity touchpoints
• Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote the spa and develop innovative wellness initiatives
• Stay ahead of wellness industry trends and implement forward‑thinking strategies to keep the spa at the forefront of the industry
• Oversee inventory, requisitions, and cost‑effective use of all spa materials and assets
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a luxury spa environment
• Deep knowledge of spa, wellness, and holistic modalities, including science‑backed technology, fitness programming, and retail
• Proven ability to create and implement spa service menus, revenue streams, dynamic pricing strategies, and effective marketing initiatives
• Experience managing budgets, projecting costs and revenue, and adhering to financial targets
• Previous hands‑on experience as a therapist (massage, aesthetician, or similar) is strongly preferred
• A passion for wellness and sustainability, with the vision to integrate wellness seamlessly into the broader hotel experience
• Forbes experience is a strong advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills in English; additional languages are an asset
