Job summary

GardaWorld Federal Services is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor (Construction) to support the Project Manager and Site Supervisor, ensuring smooth operation of the job site in their absence. You will coordinate daily site activities, maintain communications with stakeholders, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience as supervisor or similar in emergency response/dynamic environments.
• Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or Emergency Response Management.
• 2-4 years’ experience managing teams and job sites.
• Ability to develop relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and Government reps.
• Experience with forklift and telehandler operation and multi-platform certification.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with generators (6kW-500kW) and generator connections.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general construction tools and safety equipment.
• Experience loading trailers for transport and non-CDL driving qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Supervisor with surveys, mobilization and demobilization plans.
• Complete required reports accurately and on time.

• Conduct daily staff meetings to disseminate project information.
• Work with Safety Officer to create project safety plans and briefings.
• Resolve issues by consulting with governmental agents or employees.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Job Summary: The Assistant Site Supervisor supports the Project Manager and Site Supervisor and has the ultimate responsibility for the overall smooth operation of Job Site in the absence of the Site Supervisor. By having a working familiarity with all job functions and duties of assigned staff, the Assistant Site Supervisor will coordinate the establishment and daily functioning of the Job Site while maintaining communications with the Site Supervisor, Director of Support, and any applicable governmental representatives and/or corporate clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Site Supervisor will have the ability to operate independently, with minimal oversight.
• Ensures compliance with all contracts, performance work statements, working instructions, etc.
• Assists the Site Supervisor with site surveys, mobilization plans, project plans, demobilization plans, and is prepared to conduct the preceding when the Site Supervisor is not available.
• Complete all required reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure all shipments and asset movements are complete, accurate, and recorded properly.
• Assists the Quality Control Manager and Safety Manager with inspections, investigations, and reports as required.
• Ensure weekly safety meetings are held. Assists in preparation and completion of accident, injury or illness reports and submission to GardaWorld Federal Services HR/Director of Support.
• Conduct daily meetings with staff members to ensure project information is disseminated.
• Work with Safety Officer to ensure a safety plan is created for all projects and assists with daily safety briefings to all staff.
• Make every effort to resolve issues by consulting with concerned parties, whether governmental agents or employees.

Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:

• 2-4 years’ experience working as a supervisor, assistant project manager, or higher level in dynamic/austere Emergency Response field environments.
• Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or Emergency Response Management.
• 2-4 Years Experience managing/supervising teams and job sites
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and Government representatives.
• Experience with forklift and telehandler operation and the ability to be certified on multiple platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing requirements.
• Experience with generators (6kW-500kW) and generator connections.
• Knowledge of and experience with electrical tools, plumbing tools, general construction tools, and jobsite safety equipment.
• Experience loading trailers for transport.
• Clean driving record: the ability to drive/operate various vehicles including full size dually trucks and 26’ box trucks (Non CDL).

Preferred Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:

• Experience working in a field / non-standard environment.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
