Job summary

GardaWorld Federal Services in the United States seeks an Assistant Project Manager (Mobile/Field-based) to support the Project Manager and ensure the Job Site runs smoothly in the PM’s absence.

This full-time exempt role requires travel to various locations, coordination with government representatives and clients, and thorough reporting. The position offers a competitive $60,000–$65,000 salary with deployment opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a supervisor, assistant project manager, or higher in dynamic emergency response field environments.
• Experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or Emergency Response Management.
• 3 years of experience managing/supervising teams and job sites.
• Ability to deploy to various locations within the U.S. with minimal notice for extended periods.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing requirements.
• Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and fix issues.
• Experience with generators (6kW-500kW) and generator connections.

Responsibilities

• The APM will operate independently with minimal oversight and ensure contract compliance and adherence to working instructions.
• Assist the PM with site surveys, mobilization plans, project plans, and demobilization plans when PM is unavailable.
• Complete all required reports accurately and on time and report Daily PERSTAT to the Director of Support.
• Ensure staff are scheduled properly and operations run efficiently; track timekeeping and shipments in the inventory system.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and assist with accident/injury reporting.
• Conduct daily staff meetings to disseminate project information and support safety planning with the Safety Officer.
• Resolve issues by consulting with government agents or employees as needed.
