Job summary

YWCA Northern New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor to help run a Before and After School Program in alignment with YWCA NNJ and New Jersey licensing standards. You will support daily operations, coordinate age-appropriate activities, and foster a welcoming, safe environment for children, families, and staff.

The role requires a CDA or AA with relevant credits, at least two years of childcare experience, and certifications such as CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or Associate’s Degree and at least 6 education credits.
At least 2 years of experience in childcare or youth programming.
CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
10-hour State Mandated Reporter Training within the first two weeks of hire.
Knowledge of positive discipline techniques.
Knowledge of New Jersey State Licensing for school age programs.
Abilities to be present, work as a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist with the development of a quality Before and After school Program that is responsive to current trends. Function as Site Supervisor in their absence.
Support the Site Supervisor in the implementation of the school-age curriculum and daily/monthly schedules.
Facilitate and submit all projects, assignments, and activities on time as directed.
Ensure health, safety, and supervision of children and staff, and maintain licensing records.
Supervise site personnel and promote an inclusive, engaging environment.
