Onni is seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent in Los Angeles to coordinate and manage multifamily construction activities, ensuring work aligns with drawings, submittals, and RFIs to meet the project schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multifamily residential construction experience.
• Knowledge of building electrical and mechanical systems.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour training certificate an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction activities to align with drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to schedule.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and scope of work.
• Track and report daily job productions and activities.
• Manage purchase orders for materials, safety supplies, and other site requirements.
• Coordinate and schedule inspections by city officials and third-party inspectors.
• Communicate with team members and trades via email and in-person meetings; follow up on outstanding items.
• Coordinate with trade contractors to ensure progress per project schedule.
• Forecast material and manpower needs for upcoming construction activities.
• Document construction progress and keep all parties informed on important issues.
• Document construction deficiencies and manage punch list completion by trades.
• Direct onsite laborers with daily tasks and ongoing clean-up efforts.
• Ensure staff and contractors maintain a safe working environment per company policies.
• Monitor effectiveness of safety programs for injury and illness prevention.
• Assist with safety inspections and corrective actions for identified hazards.
• Assist in investigating injuries and accidents and providing corrective action.
• Enforce company safety policies with subcontractors.
• Partner with colleagues/clients on safety plans and audits.
• Prepare and update emergency response plans as necessary.
• Develop weekly safety topics and document weekly meetings.
• Centralize site inspections, weekly reports, and OSHA/WISHA reports.
