Job summary

Onni is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead and coordinate activity on large-scale commercial multifamily/high-rise projects in Chicago. You will manage subcontractors, on-site personnel, and AHJs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Strong scheduling, budget tracking, and team leadership are essential. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in commercial construction, familiarity with complex site logistics, and thorough drawing/spec interpretation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience (high-rise and/or multifamily preferred).
• Experience overseeing high end multifamily projects an asset.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and quality management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Postsecondary education in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities of all subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
• Drive and maintain the overall construction schedule; forecast daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Review drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to coordinate current and upcoming work.
• Develop and implement site logistics plans.
• Coordinate inspections with city officials and third-party inspectors.
• Proactively manage scope changes and identify potential schedule or cost impacts.
• Ensure all materials and workmanship meet approved drawings, specifications, and company standards.
• Maintain detailed site documentation and reporting.
