Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking an Assistant Director for the Parkway YMCA After School program. Under the Site Director, you will support daily operations, assist in program planning, lead activities, and foster positive relationships with children and families.

Qualifications include a passion for working with children, 18+ years old, high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR/First Aid certification. The role offers 40-hour weeks with 10am–6pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a passion for working with and nurturing children.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in youth programs, camp settings or related field.

Responsibilities

• Emphasizes safety and emotional well-being of students, parents and staff.
• Lead daily activities; plan and implement recreational and educational programs.
• Assist in attendance tracking and program documentation.
• Support staff during daily tasks to ensure quality programming.
• Attend staff meetings and training; apply materials to day-to-day work.
