Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced automotive service team on the shop floor, promoting teamwork, safety, and guest satisfaction. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, develop the team, and ensure a fast, friendly customer experience while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Automotive experience is valued, but not required, and paid, hands-on training is provided to teach the Take 5 way.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment delivering consistent and exceptional customer service experience for every customer.
Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.

Responsibilities

Support Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and fast, friendly customer experience.
Step in as Manager on Duty when needed, coordinating workflow and ensuring safety and efficiency.
Train new team members, provide real-time coaching and feedback, reinforce expectations, and recognize strong performance.
Perform all Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
Complete opening and closing procedures.
Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
Support shop communication, reporting, and operational follow-up.
