Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will assist the Shop Manager with daily operations, develop the team, and step in as Manager on Duty to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

We provide paid hands-on training and value automotive experience, though it is not required. The role offers opportunities for growth and promotion within Take 5 across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months' experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed to keep shop safe, efficient and running smoothly.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Lead by example with fast, friendly customer service and adherence to procedures.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and assist with inventory counts.
• Support shop communication, reporting and operational follow-up.
