Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager who thrives in a fast-paced automotive service environment. You will support the Shop Manager with daily operations, lead by example, and help deliver a friendly, efficient customer experience.

This role offers hands-on training and a clear path from shop floor to leadership, with competitive hourly pay and benefits for full-time team members. We provide paid training to teach the Take 5 standards, with opportunities to grow from shop roles

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• 6 months’ experience leading or mentoring others in a busy setting.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with the team.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed and coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and handle customer concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately while upholding procedures and safety.
• Support shop performance by identifying improvement opportunities.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Perform Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting and follow-up.
