Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in Lake Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager who will support daily operations, coach a fast-paced team, and ensure a friendly, efficient customer experience. Automotive experience is valued but not required, with paid training and growth opportunities.

You'll serve as Manager on Duty when needed, help lead safety and service standards, and participate in inventory, reporting, and shop communications to keep the operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach and provide feedback.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Ability to meet applicable age and certification requirements, including inspector certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Lead and coach team members to deliver fast, friendly service.
• Step in as Manager on Duty when needed and ensure shop safety and efficiency.
• Ensure services are completed to company standards and procedures.
• Support shop performance by identifying opportunities for improvement and handling inventory.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and support reporting and follow-up.
