Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You will assist the Shop Manager with daily operations, coach team members, and ensure a safe, efficient, high-quality customer experience while managing opening/closing tasks.

We offer paid training to certify technicians, opportunities for advancement, and a benefits package with competitive hourly pay and a path to leadership. Automotive experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to following and maintaining safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction and feedback to team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed by coordinating workflow and guiding the team.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and address customer needs professionally.
• Ensure services are completed accurately and safely with adherence to procedures.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take on leadership tasks when the Shop Manager is unavailable.
• Train new team members and provide real‑time coaching and feedback.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and assist with counts and inventory.
