Take 5 Oil Change in Houston is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced team on the shop floor. You’ll support daily operations, coach staff, and ensure a safe, efficient customer experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, with opportunities to step in as Manager on Duty and drive service quality. Training is provided, and automotive experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to following and maintaining facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Strong communication skills and comfort providing direction, coaching, and feedback to team members.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Shop Manager with daily operations and team development.
• Lead as Manager on Duty when needed to ensure safe, efficient service.
• Model friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Ensure services meet standards and procedures.
• Assist with training new team members and provide coaching.
• Handle opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and reporting.
