Accurate Personnel in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an Assistant Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily dock shipping activities. The role requires leadership of a shipping team, ensuring on-time loading and safe operations.

Starting pay is $23.75/hour with a comprehensive benefits package and a standard Monday–Friday schedule. You'll coordinate outbound orders, supervise forklift drivers, and work with internal departments to resolve shortages and changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a larger-scale warehouse.
• Experience with barcode solutions is a plus.
• Experience with MRP/ERP and Pro-ship shipping software is a plus.
• Strong leadership and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shipping forklift drivers and material handlers.
• Coordinate outbound orders with the warehouse to ship daily.
• Collaborate with warehouse and internal teams on shortages and changes.
• Coordinate packing and loading of shipments.
• Coordinate OTR driver and trailer pickups with shipping.
• Monitor carrier drivers, arrival times, and pickups.
• Participate in daily meetings to review orders.
• Drive process improvements and productivity enhancements.
• Enforce 6-S sanitation within shipping.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and certify forklift/SOP staff.
• Maintain quality and low error rates; review loading documents.
• Ensure safety and compliance; provide feedback and coaching.
• Cross-functional support to reach goals.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: ASSISTANT SHIPPING SUPERVISOR IN BOLINGBROOK, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Assistant Shipping Supervisor to join our team in Bolingbrook, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all daily dock shipping activities. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a larger-scale warehouse, and more listed below.

Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $23.75/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
• Located in Bolingbrook, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise shipping forklift drivers and material handlers
• Coordinate timely pulling and staging of all outbound orders to ship daily, working closely with the internal warehouse department
• Work closely with warehouse and internal departments on shortages and order changes
• Coordinate packing and loading of all shipments
• Work closely with the internal shipping department on OTR driver and trailer coordination and pickups
• Monitor the carrier’s drivers, time of arrival and ensure that pick-up times are met
• Involvement in daily meetings to review current and future order requirements
• Involvement in the continuous development of process improvements and productivity enhancements
• Support and enforce the 6-S sanitation process within the shipping department
• Monitor staffing levels to meet daily shipping requirements
• Holds full accountability for managing the entire team
• Recruit, train, evaluate and certify employees on forklift and SOP functionality
• Focus on Quality and Low error rates
• Review important documents such as BOL, advance shipping notices, and packing slips responsible for accurate information to be provided upon loading freight
• Safety and Compliance enforce workplace safety rules
• Evaluating performance and Providing Feedback to employees
• Holds employee accountable and provides constructive feedback
• Cross-functional support working with other departments to reach designated goal

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a larger-scale warehouse, either supervising the warehouse picking, shipping, or receiving function
• Experience with barcode solutions in a warehouse or plant environment is a plus
• Experience with B2B, MRP/ERP and Pro-ship shipping software a plus
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and cultivate a positive work environment
• Strong time-management skills to handle fast-paced and changing priorities
• Must be able to prioritize, organize, and have good follow up skills
• Detail-oriented; with the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• A strong self-motivator with the desire to learn
