Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to maintain high standards across our communities. The role requires leading a maintenance team, mentoring staff, and delivering timely repairs with an emphasis on safety and resident satisfaction.

You will coordinate on-call coverage, manage inventories, and schedule preventive maintenance, repairs, and makes-readies while ensuring open communication with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Active and valid driver’s license required.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC certification preferred.
• One-year certificate or 2–4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor the maintenance team to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Provide expert troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
• Establish and manage 24-hour on-call schedule and be available for on-site emergencies.
• Organize inventory of maintenance materials and manage work orders and preventive schedules.
• Regularly inspect community buildings and vacant units; complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
