Job summary

Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager for a 606-unit community in Maryland. In this full-time role you will supervise maintenance activities, diagnose repairs, and ensure compliance with company standards and laws.

You will establish on-call, preventive, and make-ready schedules; manage inventory; inspect buildings and vacant units; and carry out tasks from the Service Manager. The compensation includes $27.00–$29.00 per hour plus benefits and paid time off, with on-call

Qualifications

• Active and valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred.
• One-year certificate, 2-4 years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
• Provide expert knowledge and troubleshooting in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structure, and appliance repair.
• Be accountable for establishing and preparing a 24 hour on-call schedule for your team, and you must personally be available, always, in the event of snow, ice or other on-site emergencies.
• Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials.
• Establish an on-call schedule, preventive maintenance schedule, make ready schedule and general work order schedule for team.
• Regularly inspect community buildings, including vacant units.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Service Manager.
