Job summary

Hair Cuttery in Suffolk, VA is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager who loves hair and leadership. You’ll be the right hand to the Salon Leader, guiding daily operations, coaching stylists, and ensuring guests leave with a smile while maintaining a vibrant, productive salon culture.

You’ll balance creative work behind the chair with business responsibilities, from scheduling and inventory to coaching the team on guest experience and compliance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience is required or a strong attitude and coaching ability.
• Stellar communication with clients and team is essential.
• Basic math for inventory/cash handling is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor and manage the appointment book (Zenoti) to ensure premium guest experience.
• Coach & mentor stylists using the IGROW model to reach goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
• Support local marketing efforts and drive client flow through partnerships.
