Job summary

Hair Cuttery Family of Brands in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager who loves being behind the chair and guiding a team. You’ll act as the right hand to the Salon Leader, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and guest experience to maintain a thriving, welcoming environment.

This full-time leadership role requires a cosmetology license, strong communication, and the ability to mentor stylists while keeping the salon compliant with state standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Cosmetology license for the applying state.
• This is a full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours per week).
• Must have stamina to stand for long periods and perform all salon services with precision.
• Great attitude, basic math skills for inventory and cash handling, and strong communication are essential.
• Bring personal equipment daily and be ready to rock!

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations on the salon floor and manage the appointment book.
• Coach and mentor stylists using the IGROW model to help them meet goals.
• Ensure salon cleanliness and compliance with State Board and OSHA standards.
• Assist with local marketing partnerships and campaigns to keep guest flow strong.
