Job summary

Hair Cuttery Family of Brands in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Assistant Salon Manager who loves being behind the chair but also wants leadership. You’ll be the right hand to the Salon Leader, energizing the shop, supporting daily operations, and helping guests feel valued from check-in to checkout.

You’ll mentor stylists, coach using the IGROW model, ensure compliance with State Board and OSHA standards, and help with scheduling, local partnerships, and brand growth.

Qualifications

• Must have current Cosmetology license for the state you’re applying in.
• Full-time leadership role (minimum 40 hours/week).
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform all salon services with precision.
• Leadership experience is a plus; strong attitude, basic math for inventory/cash and stellar communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Floor: manage daily operations and appointment book to ensure guests leave feeling great.
• Coach & Mentor: develop team using coaching methods to hit goals and grow careers.
• Keep it Clean & Compliant: ensure salon meets State Board and OSHA standards for safety and compliance.
• Marketing Pro: support local partnerships and digital campaigns to keep chairs filled.
