Job summary

North American Roofing in Jacksonville is seeking an Assistant Service Repair Technician to join our service team. You will support the Service department by investigating and repairing a variety of roof types under supervision.

You’ll work with the Lead Service Technician, learn to locate leaks by roof system type, and contribute to safe, high-quality repairs. The role requires physical capability, outdoor work in all weather, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Roofing knowledge and experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain OSHA certification.
• Must be able to climb a ladder; lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and repair all types of low-slope commercial roofs.
• Develop skill of locating leaks by Roof System Type.
• Demonstrate safe working environment.
• Develop advanced knowledge of all roof systems and components.
• Assist in snow and hurricane events to participate in repairs or supervision.
• Meet schedule and requirements of Clients.
• Perform quality repairs with no callbacks due to workmanship.
• Demonstrate understanding of warranty and non-warranty repair types.
• Learn and operate service software (FCS).
• Assist to collect data for proposed scopes of work.

We are actively searching for an Assistant Service Repair Technician to join our service team in the Jacksonville area.

In this role, you’ll provide support to the Service department by investigating and repairing a variety of roof types. You’ll work closely with a Lead Service Technician in your assigned demographic region to help deliver quality solutions to our clients.

Job Duties:

• Work with Lead Service Technician to investigate and repair all types of low-slope commercial roofs


• Work to develop skill of determining leak location and common leak issues by Roof System Type


• Demonstrate safe working environment


• Develop advanced knowledge of all roof systems and roof system components


• Assisting in all snow and hurricane events to either participate in repairs or supervision


• Meet schedule and requirements of Clients


• Perform quality repairs with no callbacks due to workmanship


• Demonstrate understanding of warranty and non-warranty repair types


• Responsible for learning and operating service software (FCS)


• Assist to collect data for proposed scopes of work
