Job summary

Childers Roofing, a Tecta America company in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Commercial Service Technician to join our service crew. Pay starts at $22/hr and is BOE.

You will diagnose and repair leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems such as EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, Modified Bitumen and low-slope metal, supporting a fast-paced service operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1+ years experience leading commercial roofing crews.
• A valid driver’s license preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Must be able to work at varying heights and in different weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate well with clients, supervisors and co-workers.
• Initiative, integrity and adaptability.
• Technology savvy.

Responsibilities

• Removal and installation of all types of commercial roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope metal roof systems.
• Roof maintenance and repairs.
• Perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain professional interaction with all customers.
• Manage commercial roofing crew, including completing required paperwork and attending meetings; assist in training crew members as needed.

Commercial Roofing Service Technician Summary

You will be working under the service crew leader and investigating, locating and repairing leaks and defects in the following commercial roofing systems EPDM, PVC, TPO, Built-up Roofing, Modified Bitumen, and low slope metal.
