Base pay range

The Factory South Shore Restaurant located in the lobby of the Iconic Sheraton Station Square. The Assistant Restaurant Manager assists in managing the restaurant on a day-to-day basis. The primary focus is working with the OpenTable platform and involving outside and inside solicitation to generate business for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Factory South Shore amenities include: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Happy Hour, and Late-night affairs. This position acts as a liaison and represents the sales and managerial duties of the restaurant. It works with all hotel managers, with a focus on Food and Beverage. The schedule depends on business levels and requires full availability.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading a team in a guest-centric, operational environment. Experience in fast-paced, high-volume restaurants is essential. The candidate should lead by example, be polished and approachable, and represent The Factory South Shore and Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square. They should have an exceptional work ethic and strong communication skills at all levels. Natural leadership and dedication are required.

General Requirements

• Passionate, driven, self-starter with a contact list that can leverage the restaurant's cocktail and culinary programs to attract outside events.
• Experience in coordinating events and catering, ensuring execution and communication with leadership.
• This role is primarily sales and coordination-focused, with an emphasis on generating community business.
• Relevant experience is mandatory, given the diverse offerings that enable closing a wide range of events.
• Assist management in overseeing all restaurant areas as needed.
• Upsell menu items and maintain strong product knowledge to assist guests.

Food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness are critical. Ensure high-quality food service, investigate complaints, and maintain a professional restaurant image.

Guest Service

• Ensure positive guest experiences; respond to complaints effectively to foster repeat business.
• Maintain service standards and customer satisfaction across all restaurant operations.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all standards, policies, laws, and safety procedures.
• Implement security measures to protect guests, employees, and assets.
• Maintain a safe environment, promptly report injuries, and follow safety procedures.

• Provide operational guidance to staff using SOPs.
