The Factory South Shore Restaurant located in the lobby of the Iconic Sheraton Station Square. The Assistant Restaurant Manager assists in managing the restaurant's day-to-day operations. The primary focus is working with the OpenTable platform, involving outside and inside solicitation to generate business for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Factory South Shore amenities include breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour, and late-night affairs. This position acts as a liaison and represents the sales and managerial duties of the restaurant. It collaborates with all hotel managers, with a focus on food and beverage. The schedule is based on business levels and requires full availability.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading a team in a guest-centric, operational environment, with experience in fast-paced, high-volume restaurants. They should be proactive, lead by example, polished, approachable, and excellent communicators at all levels. Leadership qualities and dedication are essential.

General Requirements

  • Passionate, driven, self-starter with a contact list and the ability to leverage our cocktail and culinary programs to attract outside events.
  • Experience in coordinating events and catering, ensuring seamless execution and communication with leadership and operations on-site.
  • This role is primarily sales and coordination-focused, aimed at generating business within the community.
  • Experience in similar roles is required to handle our diverse offerings effectively.
  • Assist management in overseeing and managing all restaurant areas as needed.
  • Upsell menu items and maintain strong product knowledge to assist guests.

Food Safety and Service

  • Enforce sanitary practices, cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas to ensure health and safety standards.
  • Maintain high-quality foodservice and investigate/resolving food and service complaints.
  • Keep a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance.

Guest Service

  • Ensure positive guest experiences, respond to complaints, and work to turn dissatisfied guests into repeat customers.
  • Work with restaurant managers to meet company standards and maintain customer satisfaction.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, policies, laws, and safety procedures.
  • Implement security procedures to protect staff, guests, and assets.
  • Maintain a safe environment, report injuries promptly, and follow safety protocols.

Personnel

  • Provide operational guidance to staff, assist with staffing plans, and train employees.
  • Support the implementation of departmental policies, goals, and procedures.
