Location

Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs in Long Island, serving over 1,500 individuals for over 50 years. DDI offers educational, residential, day habilitation, and vocational services.

Salary & Shifts

Salary: $24.00 - $26.40/hour

Shifts available: Various

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff activities, evaluate performance, and administer disciplinary actions
• Implement emergency procedures and manage crisis situations
• Obtain and maintain AMAP Certification within 90 days
• Train and supervise new staff, ensure active treatment
• Assist with staff issues, disputes, and paperwork
• Document goals and protocols per CFA/ISP
• Implement Behavior Plans and monitor progress
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and develop formal goals
• Support individuals during medical appointments and complete incident reports

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience with developmentally disabled adults
• Valid NYS driver’s license and approved to drive
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Support
